“Planning for your wedding transportation is not an easy task. You need to make sure that the cars will show up on time. You need to make sure that the conditions of the cars are what you expect at the very beginning. There are many other considerations. As a result you should never overlook the transportation.
Undoubtedly you will need to find a vendor for your transportation. You should choose a company with really good reputation. You can consult your friends and relatives who have got married to give you advices on selecting the company. Their advices are very important and invaluable since they have first hand experiences on the services provided by the vendors.
Besides, you should never select a vendor by just searching on the web. There are a lot of companies that do not own even one car. Instead they are only affiliates of the companies who own the cars.
If you order from these companies, they may firstly approach company A to see if they can arrange the car. If company A cannot take the order, they will then contact company B until they find a vendor who can take the job.
You will be at risk since you have really little control on the quality and services. The case will be even worse if the car does not show up. It will be a mess if such case happens. You have to bear in mind that when it comes to wedding transportation, the reputation of the vendor and the quality of services are everything. Even if you are on budget, you should not choose a vendor of which you do not have any information about the reputation.
After you have chosen the vendor, you should place your order as early as possible. It will be excellent if you can book it six month in advance. You may need to book even earlier if your wedding is on a Saturday since it is more popular for couples to have their weddings on Saturdays.
You should also make all the details of your order black and write. In fact it is a must for you to sign a contract with every wedding vendor. In the contract of the wedding transportation vendor, you will need to write down clearly the insurance involved if there is any accident. The penalties if not showing up should also be written down. Since the vehicle may need to travel through different places. You should discuss the routes and timing with the vendor. You have to bear in mind that in some cases you will need to arrive a place a bit earlier. For example, the groom will probably need to arrive the wedding venue at least 45 minutes before the wedding. You should also ask for the contingency plan(s) in case that a vehicle breaks down during your big day.
The drivers are also an important part you need to consider. You will need to ask what the drivers will wear on your big day. You may need to get special arrangements with the transportation company if you have some special requirements for the dress code of the drivers.”
